Hi,

we use civismtp and after the upgrade to 4.3 on Drupal 6, our outbound mailings that are not test mailings (step 4) are being sent with an empty from field : "<>" --

anyone else have this issue?

We did tests on our test system running drupal 6.28 and civicrm 4.3.0 and all works as expected, from address gets set properly when mailings are sent.

I would recommend rechecking all configuration such as
Administer -> From Email Address Options
Administer -> Organization Address and Contact Info

Also unrelated to the issue but also important if you upgraded CiviCRM: please retype the smtp authentication password under Administer -> System Settings -> Outbound Email - sometimes it gets reset during an upgrade.
