403 access denied on public event
May 02, 2013, 06:11:57 pm
Hi - I'm just getting started with this very cool CiviCRM thing and I like it.  But I'm confused about this access denied issue for anonymous/non-authenticated users.  On the event's "Info and Settings" page the box to make it "public" is checked, and that's the only option I could find that seemed like it might solve this.  The event is here http://civitest2.hub.firestick13.net/civicrm/event/info?id=1&reset=1 (in case that helps).  Am I missing something?  Does it sound broken?  Is this the nature of events (only available to authenticated users)?  Thanks in advance :)

Not sure, but did you check your Drupal permissions if they allow this?

omg, thank you.... yes "CiviEvent: view event info" permission is (or should be) the obvious fix for this.
