using membership fields in profiles

I am trying to set up a search profile for memberships.
When testing on the 2.0 demo, I am able to use only one membership field- Source, when creating profiles.
Can you tell me if using membership fields in profiles is currently supported, and if other membership fields will be available to profiles.

Membership fields are only supported for use in a Profile which is embedded in an online contribution/membership signup form OR for profiles used in "Batch Update via Profile". We don't currently support using any of the "component" record fields (e.g. contributions, memberships, event registrations) in Profile-driven search pages, or standalone profile edit / view pages.

Your best option now for creating a "customized" search interface for membership data is to create one using the Custom Search framework introduced in 2.0:
