Google Map will not display in Chrome or IE Explorer

CiviCRM 4.1.2

When I configure the event to display a Google map for the location, it will display in Firefox but not in Chrome Version 26.0.1410.64 m. The link to the large map does not work either.

do you see any error messages in the console on chrome? i would start by looking for them and googling them.

That was a big help. The site is secure and Google Maps is not. Is there a way to force CiviEvent to open it? Seems like Firefox will open it with out complaint. IE issues a warning but Chrome just refuses to open it.

this has been fixed in 4.2 (or maybe 4.3). its a pretty simple change where we just use the protocol from the browser.

check:

templates/CRM/Contact/Form/Task/Map/Google.tpl

and search for the src tag
