Scheduled reminders for internal Membership staff (not the member)

I know that out the box Civi automates renewal reminder emails that are sent to Members.

However, we also want to automate a reminder to our own internal Membership Staff to remind them when a membership is coming due.

Is there a way to do this, or does anyone have any pointers?

I'm using D6/Civi4.29.

you might want to check and see if this is possible via a hook. Seems like a really good use case where the email is sent to an admin instead of the contact

Rather than writing a hook, in this case, it might be better to modify "Additional Recipient(s)" to make them "Recipients" and have options for 'Choose recipient' and 'Select a Group' as well as 'Member'
