I would like to be able to add images to contact records. Specifically personal images that can be used in our directory to put a face to a name. I don’t see that there’s a built in way of doing this and I don’t want to hack something together if there’s a recommended way of doing this.

I’m using a Drupal webform with CiviCRM integration that’s allowing users to create Drupal accounts and CiviCRM accounts and the form is capturing custom data and placing them in the contact record. What would be the best way to allow people to upload an image of themselves for use in our directory, bio, etc.?

It would be nice if I could somehow leverage Drupal’s image handling tools, such as imagecache to be able to manipulate the image as needed, resizing specifically, so the user would not need to do so.

Webform integration does support the contact image field. It is one of the core CiviCRM contact fields.
It does not currently support any image manipulation during upload (more of a Webform-core shortcoming really).
