CiviMail using alternate domain
May 20, 2013, 04:02:41 am
Hey CiviCRM Community,

I was reading through the documentation and have been unable to find the answer, so I am now turning to the community for help.
I am trying to set up the CiviMail function so that emails are generated using an alternate domain (other than the current website's domain). We own both domains.

Basically, we've created a new website (new domain) but the old website's domain is still in use til our new website / civicrm is complete. The old website's domain is widely recognized and has about 200 staff email accounts associated with it.

Is configuring CiviMail to use the old website's domain for its email even possible? Without disrupting staff email traffic? If so, how might we do this / what references would help us figure this out?

Thanks!

Donald Lobo

The domain civimail uses to send email is all configurable within the civimail admin screens

might want to check that out and give it a try
