Manual membership renewal adds fixed rollover date as end date
May 21, 2013, 02:31:56 pm
Joomal 2.5.11 and Civi 4.1.1
So here is the scenario we are having trouble with....this is manual NOT cron by the way and I couldn't find the scenario listed here:
The scenario is not covered here: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/Test+Plan+-+Membership+Renewal

Annual Membership is set like this:
Period = Fixed
Duration 1 year
Fixed start = Sept 1st
Fixed Period Rollover Day March 7th

A contacts Annual Membership Started Sept 1st 2012 and Ends Sept 2013

The initial send receipt Email sent for these has these dates in which is what we expect.

We are renewing current memberships for the next year manually like this:

1. I renew a membership to Sept 2014 using the add membership button but...
2. I choose renew membership option via the renew button/screen
The behaviour we are expecting is that the end date will be set as the membership start plus 1 year
3. When I click the 'renew' button the start date specified is the Fixed Rollover date - March 7th
4. This is then unfortunately what is sent in the renewal email

Q1.Is this a bug?

How can we resolve this? :)

Can you replicate this on the current version (4.3) demo?
