May 26, 2013, 05:39:48 pm
After upgrading from civicrm 4.2.8 to civicrm 4.3.3 I have lost the email field section in both individual and household forms  ???
I have attached some screenshots. Thank you!

Both of these screenshots are from 4.3 (note the new 4.3 help icons), so how is this a before/after? In the top screenshot you show that it is working fine in 4.3.
Also, please don't post the same thing twice! This is a duplicate of the last topic you started.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

I apologise;

As you pointed out that they are both from the same upgrade it must have been when the tabs that were not expanding when that solution was resolved it was then that the email field was lost. I began working on civicrm after certain bugs where fixed and I assumed that the email field was lost during the upgrade.

Ill just backtrace from that point; sorry for the inconvenience!

Fixed at our end. It was the email custom template form, which we had overridden, that was missing a closing
Code: [Select]
/if smarty tag.

Unfortunately, this missing if statement just dropped the email template. I couldn't find anything being generated in any log files (tried the apache log and the civi log in files/civicrm/ConfigAndLog. Would be nice if errors like this didn't fail silently (or I knew how to track them down in an appropriate log file; am I looking in the wrong place?).
