Attaching individuals to households during import
May 27, 2013, 09:43:01 am
Is there a way to automatically attach individuals with information matching that of a household to said household during the import process. I assumed it would based on the field selection when telling the import wizard what each row was (i.e "Email(Matched to individual)").

Yes, I do it all the time.  Just include the Household Name in the individual import file.  When you specify your field mapping select 'Household Member of' and 'Household Name (match to contact)'.  See the uploaded image.

I've also related individuals to households and a other individuals simultaneously during an import.
