Cannot record end_date for a lifetime membership record
May 29, 2013, 02:49:53 pm
When I edit a membership record for a person with a lifetime membership type, the system will not allow me to fill in the end date.  (This is being done because the person chose to cancel their membership).  If I try to save the record, I get the error: "The selected Membership Type has a lifetime duration. You cannot specify an End Date for lifetime memberships. Please clear the End Date OR select a different Membership Type."

Can I eliminate this restriction with no negative effects?  If so, any pointers on how to accomplish this?
