New server problems with CiviCRM
May 31, 2013, 01:05:49 pm
Greetings,

I did not have the luxury of following the steps located here:
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC32/Moving+an+Existing+Installation+to+a+New+Server+or+Location

To the letter as the old server had a hard drive crash, so moved to new server uploaded all files etc.. Removed the cache tables from the database so in theory I should be good to step 6 with the exception of disabling CiviCRM prior to moving it.

The problem is when I execute the following:
http://www.teenhorizons.org/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1

I get the following error:
401 - It has been detected a pattern that could mean a hacker attack. Your request can not be processed.

Joomla Version: 2.5.8
CiviCRM Version: 4.2.2

Hosted on Dream Host.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Clint

I would try installing a fresh, empty CiviCRM as a test and make sure this works there. Then connect it to your real DB and see.

Probably too late to help you, but I'm posting since this might help others with the same IDS problem.

In civicrm.settings.php, find the following line and change the 1 to 0:

define( 'CIVICRM_IDS_ENABLE', 1);

Then try rerunning the config reset.
