Blank page at CiviCRM install options with Wordpress?
June 01, 2013, 02:20:56 am
I am installing CiviCRM on a Raspberry Pi.

I managed to get the server running with phpmyadmin and installing Wordpress itself without any problems.
When I log in to the Wordpress site and activate CiviCRM it works fine as well.
...but when i go to general settings "CiviCRM Installer" however... I encounter a blank page without any installation options or anything (as per attached).

I followed everything step by step except for the localisation portion... only testing the system at this point.

What could cause this or is there something i missed?

Thanx

This is quite a novel environment to try running CiviCRM on!

Do your versions of PHP and MySQL meet the requirements?  Is WordPress fully functional?  Can you install other plugins?

You'll be lucky to get this to work in my opinion.

the server installed on the Raspberry Pi is Apache2 with mysql and php as well as phpmyadmin

apache: 2.2.22 (debian)
sql: 5.5.31
php: 5.5 (i think... definitely above requirement)
wordpress 3.5.1
civicrm: 4.3.3

also i tried as per your suggestion to install other plugins.
tried it with Google Analytics and it works perfectly but i'm still getting the same blank page when trying to configure CiviCRM
i even get a yellow message at the top when i'm on another plugin that CiviCRM is almost ready but just needs some configuration... clicking on it brings me to the same blank page

:(

If you really have PHP 5.5 installed, that is the likely source of the blank screen.  I believe CiviCRM only recently officially added support for PHP 5.4.  PHP 5.5 is rather new.
