I have created a profile intended to change the contact subtype of multiple contacts without having to import/export the data. However, the profile is not showing up when I select the contacts I wish to add to this subtype. Is this a bug, or is this a functionality in CiviCRM that the profile cannot be used to add people to the subtype because they are not already that subtype (so the profile is restricted to the contact subtype of the data within it)? If this is the case, is there an easier way to update a contact subtype based on a search than to export the search and re-import it with the updated subtype?
