Shopping Cart Checkout for Event Registration was introduced in CiviCRM 4.1

This is an alternative to the current single event registration flow. When enabled, it allows users to select from a list of available events and add multiple events to a "Cart". Then they can checkout and pay for all selected events in a single payment transaction.

My question: Is there a way to have a discount if registering for more then one event?
Eg if you register for 2 or more events there is a 20% discount on checkout.

Newbie question:  Is it possible that the event shopping cart function could be employed to allow a visitor to both purchase a membership and register for an event at the same time?
