We have two clients who are currently asking for something like a "Related Activities" tab on the View Contact page at civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=xxx. This tab would function in essentially the same way as the Activities tab, but instead of showing activities for the viewed contact, it would show activities for all contacts directly related to the viewed contact.

"Directly related" would qualify as either of these two conditions:
* Individual contacts who have a relationship with the viewed contact.
* Individual contacts who are related to the viewed contact through a mutual relationship to an organization.

This would cover a couple of interesting use cases:

1. As a staff member organizing for the Rain-forest Cup Youth Soccer Tournament event, when I begin outreach to a local business, I'd like to see what other activities may be scheduled with various employees at the business.  An easy way to do this would be to open the organization record and review the "Related Activities" tab, which would show activities for all individual contacts related to (employed by) the business.

2. As a staff member at a child welfare organization, when scheduling a meeting with one parent, I could review the "Related Activities" tab to see any activities for the parent's other children or for that parent's spouse or partner.  Or I could view the child's "Related Activities" tab to see any activities for anyone else related to the child (e.g., parents or guardians who may not have a saved spouse/partner relationship).

I wonder if anyone else has tried to tackle these use cases and/or this type of feature? Or have warnings about how hard it will be?  Or think this would be good for other use cases?

Have you looked at whether views gives you the options you want?
