Activities report pulls up inbound emails for some groups but not others
June 10, 2013, 11:25:43 am
Hi All,

I'm not sure if this is a bug or user error -- although I swear that these reports were working and have suddenly stopped.  Not sure what to make of it!

Long story short:

We process emails-to-activities and then our staff members have dashlets that display activity reports showing inbound emails (and submitted webforms) from students in their caseloads.

Suddenly, those reports have stopped showing inbound emails from students (ironically, they do show inbound emails from staff members who have sent emails from outside Civicrm but have bcc'd them to our processing box so that they have a record of them).

When I mess with the report, if I use a group that contains all of our students, the inbound emails from students who up.  But when I use a group that contains just a subset of students, the inbound emails disappear.

I can track specific emails, check out the student, verify that the student is a member of both the big group and the small group, but the report will not show inbound emails from students with the small group as the defining criteria (I'm leaving all other report settings the same).

The smaller groups are smart groups, so I have tried creating duplicate groups that are not smart to see if that makes the difference, but it doesn't seem to.  I have also tried making tags based on the groups to see if tagging helps, but it doesn't seem to.

Even stranger, I swear that these emails were showing up until recently.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any insights,
-tiffani
