Notification of New/Renewed Membership

Hello,

Back in 4.2.x, I received a notification any time someone submitted the membership profile on my site, so I knew our club had a new member and I could do any manual steps to get them set up. Since 4.3.x, I am no longer receiving profile notifications for PAID memberships. Free memberships still email me the profile information as expected. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Basically, I would like to know via email when anyone joins or renews a membership via any way possible. Is there an alternate path that I can use?

Not clear what you had working. Two options that should be useable

If you have a Profile on the page, you can set that to notify you.

Also check the ThankYou page settings and see if you are still listed in the BCC

I had the profile option working previously, but no longer. I have also tried BCCing myself as you suggested and nothing is received.

are any emails getting out of civi? have you 'emailed' your civi contact just to check

Yes, I can send the test email to myself and I also receive scheduled report emails and send schedule membership expiration reminders.

not sure i can help then - if civi is sending mail - and your email is in bcc on the forms, or in the notify field for the Profiles - and you are not getting them - and you have checked spam - then i am a bit stuck

Me too. Using the notify field on the profile seems to work fine for free memberships, but not for paid memberships even though they use the same profile.

Finally, another data point. When I switched to using PayPal Express, all worked as expected - I received emails with profile notifications and the members once again received receipts from Civi. Yay!
