Integration with 3rd Party (opensource) Dedupe tools

Found this on github: https://github.com/open-city/dedupe and thought it might be a good extension for enhanced deduplication.  I have a one time cleanup for a small database so not appropriate, but I imagine this is a headache for some orgs....

Mark at EFF was writing a Solr plugin to Civi for deduping at the post-CiviCon sprint.  You may want to reach out to him if this scratches an itch for you!

I've been playing with https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine a.k.a Google Refine.  It's really nice, but they do not yet have a full API.  They can validate a field against a URL call so one could do a dedupe in the tool and match against civi...I love that it is very interactive.  thanks!
