Limiting event registrations to members

I have two requests which I do not believe is currently built into CiviEvents.  I am currently running CiviCRM 4.3.3 on Wordpress.  The site is for an Association and is a membership only site.  All members of the association are created by the site admin. 

1) I need the ability to restrict certain events to only be able to be registered by members.  The event can still appear on the site publicly, however, clicking on the registration link will prompt them to log in if they are not already.

2) The other request I have is to restrict price set options so I can select whether that option value is only available to registered users or all users.  I know this is not built into CiviEvents by default, but does anyone know how I could do this? 

Thanks in advance for any advice to point me in the right direction.

Upgrade to 4.3.4

Then use Wordpress use access control (located under Administer menu) to limit event registration permission to only a certain role.   Use the plugin to sync memberships to roles to make sure all members have the proper role.
