error for batch changes to participant status, but works one at a time
June 20, 2013, 08:31:20 am
When my client goes to batch process Participants in the back office (CiviEvents using CiviCRM 4.2), she gets this error after hitting "Go":

Fatal error: Call to undefined method CRM_Core_BAO_Preferences::valueOptions() in /home/hvcp/public_html/media/civicrm/customphp/CRM/Event/Form/Task/Batch.php on line 86

1. This site was migrated and we saw some errors that we fixed, so assume this might be related to that migration.

2. Changing status on one participant at a time works.

I am guessing a missing file, tho I found this and it made me curious: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,20888.msg87363.html#msg87363 . I did not act on any of that info (run some SQL, basically), because the version numbers are so different I have to assume the need for it is well past.

Please forgive me ahead of time for any abject ignorance regarding this problem.

Thanks!

Greg

Bumping this. I see it was read 31 times. Does anyone have a tip for me?

The client with this problem is a New York State RAEN, a group that supports adult literacy, GEDs, continuing education for at-risk populations (like single mothers in public housing who want to get an education), etc etc. I resort to pleading on their behalf in this inappropriate and shameless way because they must meet a legal requirement for reporting to the state.

The batch changes problem was introduced when we moved the site a few weeks ago. If I don't find an answer a bunch of underpaid and overworked staff will have to go thru almost a thousand participants and manually change them one by one.

Thank you for uderstanding, and for any ideas you might have.

All the best

Greg
