When looking at the event info page I would expect it would show the Fee for the event (civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=1) but I do not see it - Is that the correct / expected behavior?  It will show up once in the registration process.  Would this be considered a bug or feature request?

Yes this is correct and expected behavior.

This would come under the classic open source category of "Please scratch your own itch". So submit a patch along with an issue
