Missing activities

One question: I re-labeled/renamed some of the existing activity types. These types show up in the drop down menu
"Filter by acitivity type / Include | Exclude" in the "Activities" dashlet of the dashboard. But if I choose "Contacts / New  Activity" I'll find only three activity types (a re-labeled one and two of the existing - Meeting and Phone Call). Where are all the other ones? Why don't they appear in the "New Activities" drop down menu? What can I do to debug the problem?

You can have a look at the CRM/Activity/Form/Activity.tpl and .php
