How does the CiviCRM Location Display Option work?
July 06, 2013, 05:29:08 pm
Just curious, how does the CiviCRM Location Display Option work under a Drupal View?

I followed the instructions from the newest CiviCRM cookbook (Great book, BTW) to create a members directory map using OpenLayers and Views. Everything works great except for one little thing. Most of my members have two office locations, and I wonder how I can pull out those two specific location types under Views? The "display Primary" option doesn't really work for me because I want to show their two office locations, and the "display any result" doesn't work for me either because I don't want to list their home address.

I see that when I pull out the latitude and longitude fields, there is a option called "CiviCRM Location Display Option." Underneath this option, there is an "And/Or" option, then it is followed by a list of the location types.  I tried adding two latitude / longitude fields, one set to "and, location type 1" and the other set to "and, location type 2," but I only see location type 1 is being pulled since I set OpenLayers to use Latitude / longitude info from set 1.

Does anyone have any suggestion on what I can do or how to use the CiviCRM Location Display option?

I can set up two views and display them on the same map, but just wondering since I am curious about it. Thanks in advance!

Never mind...  The add/or option is really for the "any" location types below. I tell it to pull out any location, then set a filter to hide all the unwanted types and get what I want it to do.
