Possible bug creating spouse relationship
July 08, 2013, 07:14:01 am
I've found this condition to exist on multiple sites, both on 4.3.3 and demo.civicrm.org running 4.3.4.

I create a Relationship of type Spouse Of on one contact(Contact A) and choose another contact(Contact B) as the spouse.  When I go to Contact B's summary page, then to the relationships tab, and click on edit of the newly created relationship, the relationship type is not set, and there are no labels for the 3 check boxes below notes.  The Contact A's name is shown to the right of the relationship type box but no type is selected. Selecting the spouse of type and saving the relationship (for Contact B) seems to fix it and shows the labels for the checkboxes.

But shouldn't the relationship type be set automatically when I create the Spouse Of relationship via Contact A?
I shouldn't have to then go to Contact B's contact page, on the relationship tab, and set the relationship type for the newly created relationship.

This bug appears whether I check the box for  'Contact A can view and update information for Contact B' when I originally create the relationship.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior, or should I report this in the issue queue?
