Hey all,

I'm working on developing a mobile client for civi (see civicrmmobile.cloudaccess.net for an example), and I'm trying to use the ajax API to retreive info from the database, but currently it requires backend authentication in Joomla (you have to login at example.com/administrator in order to be able to use the ajax API, even if a non-administrator is a user that is allowed to use the ajax API--as such it is currently impossible for a non-administrator to access the ajax API because he cannot be authenticated in the backend  )

I was wondering if this is intentional, or if it something that should be fixed in a future version.  I haven't done anything with Drupal, so I don't know how it works there.
