happens when i copy an event that uses regular fees, often to create an identical event with a 25% off price.

when i change the price on the copied event the price of the original event also changes.

thanks any one who may have some ideas.

This has also happened to us this year as we start to duplicate events from the past.

I tried using an event template, but I find that editing the new event still changes the price of the previously created/copied event.

It's really frustrating, and unfortunately I don't have a good solution! We're stuck manually creating events from scratch.

Anyone found a solution?

I started using price sets.

If th copied event is using a price set editing th duplicate price set or changing to regular fees makes no change to th original.

I only copy events using price sets now.

I came across this issue when I was fiddling with the price sets and events but I have never came any further then fiddling and it looks like it should not behave this way. I thought I did something wrong at the time but now it seems others have problems with this as well.
