Contribution Status Issues

I have just upgraded to 4.3.5 from 4.2.9. When editing Contributions I was able in 4.2.9 to change a contribution status from any value to any other value. There now seems to be some 'intelligence' in what gets displayed in the Contribution Status field and what changes can be made. This change has caused us significant difficulty with no perceived upside.

Is it possible to get an explanation of what changes have been made an why so that I can develop a new strategy to manage partial payments of membership fees?

Hi Martin,

Same issue here - no longer have the ability to change the contributions in the admin back office which is clearly a massive problem.  Did you figure out anything on this?
