Webform Integration
July 25, 2013, 05:08:26 am
Hey all,

I'm looking at moving the CiviCRM fields from the Webform Integration module into the Webform Components page (Make them available for Drag and Drop) and was wondering if anybody else had tried this, or had any ideas on where to start?

Thanks,
Jake

I have no idea what you're talking about. Adding a CiviCRM component always adds it to the webform components screen and thus they are always available for drag and drop.
I recommend reading the instructions: http://drupal.org/node/1615380

Coleman,

Sorry for the misunderstanding - what I meant was that I wish to move (or copy) the CiviCRM components into the main Component page's side-menu to make them available to drag and drop into the form.

See my (horrid) screenshot depicting where I'm looking to move them to.

Hopefully this clears up my earlier misrepresentation

Jake

So - I'm a little daft (it's been a long week).

What I'm actually attempting to do is integrate the Form_Builder module with the CiviCRM field options available through the Webform<>CiviCRM integration module.

Hi Jake. If you are a php/js developer and would like to take a crack at integrating webform_civicrm with form_builder_webform you'd be more than welcome to do so.
There is already this issue open: https://drupal.org/node/1507564
The main reasons I have failed to integrate them so far:
  • There are 2 competing modules form_builder_webform and webform_alternate_ui and no clear winner so far
  • form_builder_webform lacks some important features that make is less useable than the regular webform component edit form, for example the ability to clone a fieldset

Coleman,

Yeah - I'm going to take a crack at it, maybe I'll look at expanding the form_builder code first. I just wanted to know if anybody had attempted this, and if so, what their findings were.

Ok. Please submit patches against the 4.x branch of Webform-CiviCRM. See http://civicrm.org/blogs/colemanw/news-drupal-webform-users
