Membership fee as percentage of income

Hi,
Is it possible to configure CiviCRM to calculate the membership fee based on a percentage of constituent income (salary), considering this information will be entered by the person in the membership form and/or will be present in it's contact info?

I suppose you could custom code this feature, but it's not available "out of the box."
