YET ANOTHER UPDATE:

This error is returned only when Wordpress Access Control settings deny "register for events" permission to an anonymous user. Error displays for logged out user, and also appears when user logs in from sidebar form on the event registration page.

Error does not return for logged in Admin user.

I've seen references to this Event Registration Page warning elsewhere in the forums, but no solution... Has anyone found one?  It seems to persist regardless of WP theme, and with all other plugins disabled.
