Integration with XERO accounting
August 05, 2013, 07:15:51 pm
hi all,

I work with an organisation which is using CiviCrm and we are looking at moving across to XEROTo manage membership payments etc.

There have been a number of posts since last year abo about integration with, and I'm trying to get a bit of a picture about what state that is in at the moment.

The timeframe would probably be 6 months perhaps one year, and we are quite keen to see something in place.

Thanks

Eileen

This is actually something I'm looking at further over the next few weeks. Andy from Circle has upgraded to code to run as a drupal 7 module and I'm going to look at it for a customer. The focus on Xero has been around accounts payable - putting payments into Xero for incoming payments. However, I'm going to be looking at dealing with large numbers of recurring Payments so I'm thinking about a slightly different approach to the one I've used previously - whereby I create one invoice for the days incoming payments & then all the payments can match against that. This is opposed to one invoice per person - but the downside of that is you have to figure out which of the 15 $5 payments you have received today belongs to which person.

Is this still a project you are working on Eileen and Footprint IT? We've been working with another donor platform on integration and may be able to help.
