Menu problem after migration to a Drupal multisite
August 08, 2013, 12:32:20 pm
I'm trying to migrate a CiviCRM 4.1.5/Drupal 6 site to a new server location. I was able to dump the MySQL DB from the original site and upload to the new site. I can access the data, however there is a problem.

The new location is a Drupal multisite installation where there is one base install and separate sub-sites, each with it's own DB, settings file and (in some cases) modules. So the URLs look like this:

mywebsite.asu.edu (base install)
mywebsite.asu.edu/site1 (subsite 1)
mywebsite.asu.edu/site 2 (subsite 2)
etc..

The problem is that after this migration the CiviCRM menu bar URLs point to the base site (mywebsite.asu.edu) and not to their true location (mywebsite.asu.edu/site1). I can see that the arrow.png image in the menu bar pulldowns is also AWOL, probably for the same reason.

Where in the Civi installation do I need to change this so the URLs point in the right location?

And, in case it's relevant, I should mention that the Civi module is not installed in the usual "sites/all/modules/" location, but in the subsite module folder "subsite/modules" since this is the only site on the multisite to use Civi.

Thanks
Steve

Okay, partly answered my own question. Ran the "Cleanup cache" on the Cleanup Caches and Update Paths page and URLs are now pointing in the right direction.

Hooray and *whew*.

But the arrow.png images are still missing from the admin pulldown menu. * sigh * Weird.

Thoughts on how to correct for that?

Did you read the guide: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC41/Moving+an+Existing+Installation+to+a+New+Server+or+Location ?

Check your URL Settings and your civicrm.settings.php to insure the correct URLs are in those places.
