Petition URLs

I'd like to have more control over the URL of a petition, so ideally I'd like something more like www.somesite.com/petition instead of www.somesite.com/civi/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/petition/sign&sid=2&reset=1. Is this possible?

In Drupal you can do this with path aliases.
In Wordpress you can do this with shortcodes. (petition shortcode support coming in 4.4)
Not sure about Joomla.

ah, thanks... it looks like I'll have to wait until 4.4 for that solution then.
