Database and connection settings correct but MySQL error
August 10, 2013, 09:23:21 am
Everything is green on the requirements screen but I get an error when I proceed.

A snippet of the error is in the attached screenshot.

The tables appear to have been created in the database.

Does your MySQL have InnoDB support?

Yes it does. Could it be due to the limits of free hosting? 128 MB is the PHP maximum memory limit. Could the database be imported by uploading a SQL file instead?

Your GIF actually shows that the DB error "unknown error" so it's not possible to know for sure. No, I don't think you can upload the SQL and anyhow if the installer fails, then there's a good chance you will encounter other errors. I think you should ask your host if they can determine what the error is when you install.

I just got a free trial for commercial hosting and it works really well now.

Installed easily as this host has shell support and I just wget and unzip into the server itself.
