Smarty Problem

Hello!

I am having a little trouble installing CiviCRM 2.0 on a Windows server.

Here are the specs:
--------------------
Windows 2003
Drupal 5.7
CiviCRM 2.0
IIS 6.0
PHP 5.1.6 (memory_limit = 64MB)
mySQL 4.1.9

I followed the instructions at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Install+2.0+for+Drupal. I enabled the CiviCRM module, and gave the admin account (me) all of the CiviCRM permissions. However, none of the CiviCRM admin functionality shows up. To wit:

*The "CiviCRM" link appears in my admin menu, but when I click on it, it goes to a page with only the words "CiviCRM Home" at the top, and there is nothing below that line.
*The CiviCRM blocks appear in the blocks area, and I enabled them to show in the right sidebar. But when when I click "Save blocks", the blocks do not show up in the right sidebar.

Drupal log repeatedly shows this error: "Smarty::include(C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\sites\drupal\files\civicrm\templates_c\en_US\en_US\\%%91\919\91975F02%%Menu.tpl.php) [<a href='function.Smarty-include'>function.Smarty-include</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\sites\drupal\sites\all\modules\civicrm\packages\Smarty\Smarty.class.php on line 1265."

Here is someone with a similar problem -- however it looks to be unresolved in her/his case.

Does anyone have any ideas, as to where to start to troubleshooting this?
Many thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

1. v2.0 officially only supports php 5.2.x and mysql 5.0.x. You are running older versions of both. However, i dont think thats the cause of the error

2. did you use the automated installer for civicrm? the following path: 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\sites\drupal\files\civicrm\templates_c\en_US\en_US\' seems to be wronf (it has an additional en_US at the end). not sure how it got there

3. unfortunately all of us run on mac's / ubuntu boxes, so the core team support for windows is pretty minimal. You might need to help us and investigate the issue a bit more

thanx

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I used the installer, and I agree that the filepath is not standard.

I investigated this some more today, but made little progress in resolving this.

Thanks anyway.
