Implementing CiviCRM with WORDPress 3.5.2 on Godaddy - MySQL 5.0 version issue?
August 22, 2013, 08:16:58 am
We have attempted to integrate CiviCRM with our new website which uses Wordpress 3.5.2

We are hosting the site on Godaddy.

We have managed to install CiviCRM but when we activate the plugin it causes a conflict with Wordpress, see below error message when we try and edit a web page / post.

Warning: require_once(CRM/Core/ClassLoader.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/17/11160917/html/ [sitename] /wp-content/plugins/civicrm.php on line 191

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'CRM/Core/ClassLoader.php (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5_3/lib/php') in /[/pre]home/content/17/11160917/html/ [sitename] /wp-content/plugins/civicrm.php on line 191

Our web developer has advised that we require dedicated hosting for this problem to be avoided and that we are using MY SQL 5.0.

Can you anyone advise us on the best way forward? We want to run CiviCRM on our current host so that it can be integrated with our website / members  database.

This does not appear to be a problem with MySQL 5.0. You will probably encounter other issues using MySQL 5.0 however.

We have managed to install CiviCRM but when we activate the plugin

How did you install it? Did you use the installer? Because you must activate it first actually, and then install.
