Is it possible to use PayPal Advanced Payments with CiviContribute?  (The most recent thread I could find on this was 8 months old, so I am starting a new one.)

Dont think so unless the API is backward compatible. Would be good if you can work on an extension that implements paypal advanced payments. A lot of folks in the community will appreciate that
