We are configuring a CiviCRM Wordpress Install. We have been unable to get the "profiles" option to assign new members to the appropriate group.

We have created a 'newsletter' group. From there we went to "Administer>Customize Data & Screens>Profiles" and created a profile.

We selected the "group" that we made in the "Add new contacts to a Group?" section within the Profile's "Advanced Settings".

The newsletter form was published on the front end of the site using the HTML code for the form.

Users are added to the contact list when they submit the form, but they are not automatically added to the assigned group. Help?
