I'm not sure I understand how UFMatch works. It seems there is a UFMatch record in the table to link a Drupal user with a CiviCRM contact. But despite this, the CiviCRM fields which have been filled out for the contact are not visible within Drupal. What am I missing?

If I manually and separately create a CiviCRM contact and Drupal user who have the same email address, it seems that a UFMatch is automatically created. But the CiviCRM fields are nonetheless not visible in the Drupal user edit screen, even though these fields are visible if I use the "Create User Record" button within CiviCRM.

What am I missing? I thought UFMatch was all that was needed to link Drupal users and CiviCRM contacts, but it seems there's something else involved.
