Events not listed in Basic Options when creating menu item to an event in Joomla
September 05, 2013, 06:04:48 am
I've now seen this on three separate Joomla sites.  After creating an event and setting it for online registration, I would normally create a menu item within Joomla to link to the information and/or registration pages.  The process I've been using (and the one I think is correct, is to create a new menu item in Joomla of type Event Registration Form or Event Information Page.  Then, the "Basic Options" field is populated with "Select Event."  However, when I click the dropdown menu, no events are listed.

I've tried three sites all on Joomla 2.5 and Civi 4.3.

I can't test the functionality in the sandbox because the Joomla admin structure is not available.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

since you can reproduce it locally, any chance you can take a look at the view code and help debug this (and hopefully find the bug and the fix)

Lobo -

I've looked through the code to the best of my very limited ability and can't find the cause of the error.  I did do a little more testing and installed an older version of civi onto my dev server and the problem did not occur so I assume this is a recent bug.  Sorry I can't be more help diagnosing/fixing it.  let me know if you want me to log an issue.

Thanks,

Damon
