I've come across another one of these comparison sites...

.. that currently lists as the "Top 5" -
  • Neon CRM
  • DonorPerfect
  • Blackbaud
  • TowerCare DonorPro
  • TrailBlazer NonProfit Manager
most of which I've never heard of.

Somehow they missed SalesForce, though, which is pretty popular among the 'cloud' solutions.

Hey Mark,

Might be a good topic for civicon or the sprint, but I believe we won't be able to scale up if we don't spread the workload between ourselves. they are some things where a single voice and gatekeeper makes sense, but for the promotion, I'd rather see an asset to be able to have diverse voices explaining what Civi is and does.

Assuming the phone works across the pond and if you're willing to follow up on the track you started, I think you should talk to them directly.

If I talk to them directly, it will be by email, etc., not by phone, both because of the cost and the timezone difference.

Note that calling via skype is fairly cheap and reasonable. We use it a fair bit to call locally and internationally
