Child Forum for CiviVolunteer?
September 06, 2013, 01:12:41 pm
I'm planning on adding the option for switching to CiviCRM 4.4 to the CiviCRM and Community Media Starter Kits using https://drupal.org/project/profile_switcher.  This will allows users to switch the version of CiviCRM by using the same db, but different code from profiles/civicrm_starterkit_testing/modules instead of profiles/civicrm_starterkit/modules.  The users still have to run civicrm/upgrade, but this should make it easier for less technical users to participate in testing.

I'm (obviously) very interested in getting the "work in progress" version of CiviCRM in front of community media groups and would like to point them to a specific place for providing feedback.  Would it make sense to create a child forum for popular extensions?

we'll probably split things up into separate boards once they get  a bit more traction and reports coming in. So i'd encourage them to post in the extensions forum first. if and when things get busy, we will create a sub-forum for the popular extensions (hopefully civivolunteer and civihr will be among them)

It was very sad, that the civivolunteer MIH did not get any traction and funding from the community. So i'm a bit curious to see who the user base will end up being

It sounds like Frank & Michael will moderate, so we've added http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/board,84.html
