What is the easiest way to display seperate groups of events on the front end?

I feel like I must definitely be missing something but I am not seeing an easy way to separate groups of events for display on separate pages on the front end. Can someone give me some input on this? So far I have only figured out how to show all events.

What method did you use to display all events?

I just used the HTML display of the event list from CiviEvent Dashboard.

You would need to use the CiviCRM API to get a filtered list of events.
