How to see my activities for cases that aren't my own?
September 11, 2013, 02:07:24 pm
Hi,

My manager wants to be able to assign cases to people.

However, every now and then for someone else's case he needs to send an email, make a phone call, even though it's not "his" case.

What would be really useful on the dashboard is a "My activities in all cases" section.

Has anybody done something like this before? A workaround maybe? Or a custom extension that adds this feature automatically.

I was pretty sure the Activity CiviReport used to support case activity types, but it doesn't seem to in the latest version? Not sure if that's a change or why. If it did you could just add an instance of that to the menu.

I guess I was wrong and the Activity Report never did, but there's a customized one at http://svn.civicrm.org/php/trunk/custom_php/CRM/Report/Form/Case/Activity.php which does. Note that that repo is no longer maintained, and that report is currently running on a 3.x site so not sure how compatible it is with the latest.

Thanks demerit, I'll look into that.
