How does auto-renew affect the membership fields?
September 16, 2013, 08:08:57 am
I believe from observation that when a recurring payment comes in on an auto-renewing membership, that it is the END DATE that is being adjusted but the START DATE remains static.

Is this correct?  Can someone point us to the spot where this happens?

It would make more sense to me, and perhaps be better for our application, if it was the START DATE that was adjusted, because when it is manually adjusted, the system automatically calculates the END DATE based on the membership period.

In this way, the original START DATE would then be reflected simply in the MEMBER SINCE field.

Am I way off base here?

Thanks for your input!!
