Hi,
It's possible to add to the menu a "New smart group"  link or create a smart group only work with the search function?

The 'new smart group' action is only relevant once you have entered search criteria and produced a set of results.  Therefore it will not work as a menu item, unless "smart group" links to advanced search or something like that.

Otherwise, how would your "new smart group" link know what the criteria of the smart group are?
