User Permissions for CiviDiscount
September 20, 2013, 05:52:54 am
Hi!

We've installed Cividiscount in 4.3.4 and although I can see the module as an administrator, we have an end user with drupal permissions to access civi event who can see the CiviDiscount menu option but who doesn't have permission to use the extension.

How can I extend permission to create and administer discounts to the staff member so that all request for new discounts and adding discounts to events don't come to me?

Cheers

Craig

ps. I'm absolute noob on this forum- so if I've missed any vital info off of this question please let me know. Cheers!

currently the cividiscount admin stuff is restricted to 'administer CIviCRM' permissions

u'll have to modify the xml file to give it a different set of permissions, u might also be able to do this via a hook.

If your org can help with phase 2 of that module by contributing code and/or sponsoring a developer that would be great

Hi Lobo,

Thanks for taking the time to answer! I don't feel as stupid now I know I was looking for something that wasn't there.

I'll ask my colleagues about amending the xml, and raise the issue of contributing/ supporting development of the module.

Cheers

Craig
