Will Civi CRM work with DNN, Dot Net Nuke CMS?
September 25, 2013, 11:31:25 am
Dear CiviCRM Usergroup,

I have a DNN CMS install, on an IIS server, and am wondering if Civi will work with Dot net Nuke?  It's a fairly popular CMS, (though I don't like it), but I didn't find any posts about it when I searched.  Does anyone know if they work together/can be made to readily work together?

Thanks much, sorry for NB question..... :-[

Doug

:) Thanks Pete & Coleman, appreciate your fast response....sounds like I need to look elsewhere, I don't want to try smashing a round peg into a square hole, our customization requirements will be tough enough to try and comply with using systems which are fundamentally compatible....

No. It will not plug in directly to DNN the way it does with Drupal, WP or J!. But the folks at CiviDesk have a version that can work alongside any CMS. I suggest talking to them about it.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

while coleman was typing i had written the following:

Hi Doug

I was about to post a link to a 'here is the obvious answer' (like the front page) but didn't find it  :P

maybe the main site needs a tweak at http://civicrm.org/what/whatiscivicrm to make it clear about the CMS integration options which are
- Drupal
- Joomla!
- WordPress

or may be someone else can post me the obvious link

Anyhow, answer re DNN integration would be a no. Not to say it couldn't happen but would be a mission.

Doug - please give us a  call at (866) 670-7165.

We are running CiviCRM Standalone, which doesn't require a CMS, and have customers with all types and flavors of websites. If you are willing to sacrifice a little convenience we will work straight out of the box for you. Otherwise we can shoot for a slightly more complicated solution but it will achieve complete integration with your DNN website.
