4.3.6 upgrade issue

I upgraded one of my sites yesterday, from 4.07 to 4.3.6. I first tired to upgrade in one step, but the upgrade script did nothing, just sat there.

So I tried a two-step process, going from 4.0.7 to (I think) 4.2.7, which went smoothly, and then again to 4.3.6, which worked fine.

Reporting this in case it might be of value to others.
